Twitterati hail Ben Cutting’s heroics in IPL 2016 final

It was the clash of the giants at Bengaluru. Some of the greatest exponents of shorter formats came together at the venue for the final of the Indian Premier League. Among the star-studded line-ups, Ben Cutting may not be a big name but when it mattered the most, the Australian all-rounder put up a brilliant show to put SRH in a strong position. Coming in at No. 6, Cutting slammed 39 not out from 15 balls to help SRH to 208 for 7 in 20 overs. Cutting smacked four sixes and was severe on his countryman Shane Watson, who ended up conceding 61 from his four overs. Royal Challengers Bangalore  (RCB) started well with Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli going ballistic. Cutting’s first over went for 13 and second one went for 10. The openers had put up 114 runs in 62 balls when Cutting in his third over dismissed Gayle for 76. RCB needed 51 from five overs and Cutting’s fourth over conceded four runs and he dismissed KL Rahul. His four overs conceded 35 runs and he picked up two crucial wickets to put SRH in a winning position.
