The fastest person ever timed, Usain Bolt is back to grabbing headlines. While he is spinning heads at Rio now, the 29-year-old Jamaican’s love for cricket is well known. While growing up, Bolt was fan of Waqar Younis, Sachin Tendulkar and his fellow countryman Chris Gayle. He made news when he once bowled Gayle and hit Yuvraj Singh for a six.

He has even considered cricket seriously and post retirement has kept his options open. A natural talent with the football, the Manchester United fan is also confident that he could make it big in football too.

However, as a young kid, Bolt was a Pakistan fan and idolised Waqar Younis. He had once famously said, “The person I looked up to was Waqar Younis because he had a great in-swinging yorker. He was wonderful. Pakistan was my team when I was six when I started watching cricket. I enjoyed watching them play.” ALSO READ: Waqar Younis: 22 interesting facts about the Pakistani pace legend

A proud moment for Waqar, who has a fan in the greatest-ever sprinter. Though his home side West Indies have struggled against India, Bolt will surely be happy with the way Pakistan fared in England.
