Ajinkya Rahane has made rapid strides in international cricket in the last year or so. One of the only few players who currently are playing for the country across all three formats, Rahane has quickly become a key member of team India.
Recently, he was also promoted to Grade A in Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) central contract list — an elite place where he has only Test captain Virat Kohli, limited-overs captain MS Dhoni and offspinner Ravichandran Ashwin for company. The cool, calm and composed batsman from Mumbai recently opened up to his fans over a live Q&A session on the Indian Cricket Team’s official facebook page.
He took questions on topics ranging from his professional as well as personal life and tried to answer as many as he could. Rahane is currently with the Indian national team and will play the third Test of the four-match series against South Africa in Nagpur from November 25.
