A brilliant fast bowler and a good dancer, Darren Gough is an interesting character and a complete entertainment package. More than nine years after he played his last match for England, he is all set to step in the greens again. After the Cricket All Stars League in the United States of America (USA) in the month of November which saw legends of the game locking horns against each other, itâs time for the world to brace themselves for another league which features the greats. Masters Champions League (MCL) has been approved by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and will commence from January 28 next year.
Six teams will play the tournament across different venues in United Arab Emirates (UAE). Gough has been roped in the Leo Lions side which will be led by Brian Lara and also features cricketers like Herschelle Gibbs, Scott Styris, Heath Streak and Johan Botha to name a few.

Gough seems to be ecstatic and anxiously waiting for the game to begin. He recorded a video which was posted by MCT20 on their official Twitter handle and wrote, âOne of the most admired & respected cricketers of his generation. Join@DGoughie at #MCL2020â
Cricketing greats like Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag, Kumar Sangakkara, Brian Lara, Jacques Kallis, Shane Bond and Greame Smith will also be representing different teams. The opening game of the tournament will be played between Libra Legends and Gemini Arabians on January 28. Sehwag will be representing the Arabians side whereas Ganguly will feature for Legends.
