Video: MS Dhoni completes first parachute jump from IAF aircraft

Sky is the limit for India’s limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. After taking Team India to greater heights, the cricket superstar has decided to fly higher. On Wednesday, he successfully finished his maiden parachute jump for Territorial Army. The Lieutenant Colonel took the leap form an Indian Air Force aircraft and was a part of his training. He’s been mastering the art of para-jumping with the Air Force skydiving team at Paratroopers Training School in Agra for a few weeks now. According to a report in the Hindustan Times, Dhoni took the jump from an AN32 aircraft and reached the Malpura dropping zone base. In order to qualify as a para-jumper, Dhoni has to complete four more jumps for 10,000 feet, and to make it more interesting one of these will be at night. Once he achieves this feat he will be tagged as a para-jumper.

MS Dhoni’s official Facebook page also posted a picture of his in the air while he initiating the jump. In 2011, Dhoni was conferred the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment for his outstanding contribution towards sports. [Also Read: Lt.
