Video: “Partners in Prime” MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh batting in nets ahead of Asia Cup final

It has been six long years since India laid their hands on the Asia Cup trophy. MS Dhoni’s men last won the trophy back in 2010 and now they have a chance to pocket the silverware after beating Bangladesh in the tournament final. READ: India vs Bangladesh Asia Cup 2016: T20 probable XI comparisons

While India definitely are the stronger side on paper, Bangladesh are playing at home and expect a sea of green at Mirpur. The young guns have done their job brilliantly for India but in this all-crucial final, India will look ahead to two of their most experienced campaigners to step up. Captain MS Dhoni and veteran all-rounder Yuvraj Singh have shared many glorious dressing rooms and once again, they are a win away from sharing another one.

Yuvraj’s heroics won India the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. Fight with cancer and then loss of form resulted in the southpaw getting dropped from the national side. Since then a lot has been speculated about his relationship with Dhoni. Yuvraj’s father Yograj Singh, a former cricketer himself, accused Dhoni of deliberately keeping Yuvraj out of the side.

But all seem well between the two stalwarts, who are now gearing up for the Asia Cup final. In a short video released by BCCI, we see Dhoni and Yuvraj batting in nets next to each to each other. BCCI tweeted, “Partners in prime. @msdhoni and @YUVSTRONG12 batting at the nets side by side #AsiaCup”. Check out the video:
