Video: Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli produce yet another run-out

The ongoing Twenty20 International (T20I) series between Australia and India has never been short of action and drama. Firstly, Virat Kohli’s animated send-off to Steve Smith which created a stir in the fraternity and now the unwanted run out of Rohit Sharma attracted enormous eyeballs.

It was the last ball of the 16th over when Shane Watson bowled a low full-toss to Kohli, which he hit towards deep mid-wicket. Meanwhile, after completing the first run, Rohit ran for the second one, which Kohli didn’t want and even communicated. However, Rohit had already covered more than half of the pitch and it was impossible for him to return back safely to his crease. Thus, another run out was produced by the duo.

The two batsmen have famously been involved in run-outs on previous occasions too. Rohit played a fine knock of 60 runs from 47 balls and it ended with a bizarre run-out. He is fast becoming the the new run–out player from the current generation of Indian cricketers.
