Video: Watch Virat Kohli give an epic send-off to Steve Smith

It is hard to keep India’s limited overs vice-captain and Test captain Virat Kohli out of action. He remains as much a headache for the opposition while batting as much while fielding. The dashing batsman gave a good account of it during the first Twenty20 International (T20I) against Australia on Tuesday.

Batting first, thanks to Kohli’s unbeaten 55-ball 90, India posted 188 runs on the board. As if this much damage wasn’t enough, a fired-up Kohli was a live-wire on the field when India came out to defend the total. In the ninth over of the innings, he caught Steve Smith off Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling and almost instantly gave him an animated send-off.

Kohli, who was standing at extra cover, caught Smith and immediately made a gesture through his hands, suggesting Smith has been chirping a lot, perhaps when Kohli was batting or before the match.
