Virat Kohli congratulates his ‘captain’ Roger Federer

Dashing Indian batsman Virat Kohli is a keen sports enthusiast. Besides being a cricketer himself, he co-owns a football team ‘FC Goa’ in the Indian Super League (ISL) and a Tennis team ‘UAE Royals’ in the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL).

Legendary Tennis player Roger Federer, who on Friday completed his 300th GrandSlam win during the Australian open, is incidentally the captain of Kohli’s team in the IPTL. So quite naturally, the two sports icons share a great camaraderie.

Thus, on this special occasion, Kohli took to his Twitter handle to congratulate his skipper. His tweet read: “Congratulations @rogerfederer on creating history again. Winning 300 Grand Slam Matches. What a Legend. #RF300.”

Talking about milestones, Kohli himself completed his 7,000 One-Day International (ODI) runs recently in Australia, where he has been in a terrific form. He incidentally became the fastest to reach to that milestone.
