The Indian Premier League (IPL) saw another rain-effected contest but once again it was a run-fest which saw a thrilling end. In the end Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) triumphed but the match witnessed a lot of drama.

More than two and half hours was lost in the play due to the downpour, before the game was curtailed to 11 overs-per-side. In the 10th over of the match, it was drizzling again before the rain picking up. In the fourth ball of the final over Kohli misfielded due to the slippery ball. He was agitated and tried to make his point to the umpire. When the over ended, Kohli walked towards umpire Kumar Dharmasena asking why the game wasn’t stopped during the downpour and also pointed out that it could affect the pitch too.

Umpire Dharamasen wasn’t happy at all and the other umpire Anil Chaudhary tried to pacify Kohli. After Kohli was done, it was wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik who took it on. The television caught Karthik constantly arguing with Dharmasena as Chaudhary tried to intervene. Later, Karthik’s RCB teammates stepped in and trying to stop him.
