The funeral will be held in Hughes’ hometown Macksville and will see members of Cricket Australia (CA) and the Australian team in attendance. The first Test which was originally scheduled to start on Thursday, December 4, has been rescheduled to an unspecified later date to allow players time to  grieve and come in terms with the massive tragedy. Understanding the gravity of the situation, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has also supported CA’s decision to postpone the first Test.

Hughes died on Thursday, November 27, after being hit by a bouncer in a Sheffield Shield game two days prior, shocking the entire sporting world.
