Virat Kohli surpasses Lionel Messi as the most searched sportsperson in 2015

Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli tops the list of most searched sportsperson on Google and to add to his good fortunes he has also left Lionel Messi behind as per the list released by Google on Wednesday. Kohli has been sensational in his new role as the full time Test captain.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar may have called it off from international cricket but continues to dominate the search engines as he is placed at the third position. Tendulkar’s involvement in the Cricket All-Stars League in the United States of America (USA) is what made the people search for him.

Indian limited overs format skipper MS Dhoni too has found himself in limelight as he is comfortably sitting at the fourth place.  Dhoni has found himself in middle of controversy regarding his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and retiring from Test cricket. Both Tendulkar and Dhoni are way ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo who is the star for Real Madrid.

Unfortunately, no sportsperson finds a place in top 10 most searched people in India in the year 2015. Rohit Sharma and Yuvraj Singh are too well placed at eighth and ninth position ahead of Tennis star Novak Djokovic.

Rohit has been in the news for his marriage with Ritika Sajdeh whereas Yuvraj too has made the headlines for his engagement with Hazel Keech.
