Watch Shah Rukh Khan introduce CPL’s defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders

East or west, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan seems to be enjoying the best of both worlds. The SRK co-owned Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are two-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions and the superstar wants to replicate the same success with his Caribbean team as well. The Dwayne Bravo-led Trinbago Knight Riders (TKK), earlier known asTrindad and Tobago Red Steel won the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in 2015. Brendon McCullum, Dwayne and Darren Bravo, Hashim Amla, Colin Munro, Umar Akmal, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Sunil Narine are among many luminaries in the star-studded Trinidad and Tobago-based franchise.

In a new video launched by the franchise, SRK kept things simple and asked fans to come out and support his side, TKK and mentions that the philosophy remains the same. “Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo or Play, Fight, Win” remains the simple mantra. The video knits the contrasting culture of Kolkata and T&T. The island country in the Caribbean have a sizable population of Indian origin and SRK seems to be cashing in on his immense popularity in the exotic islands.  This season, King Khan’s knights from Kolkata ended fourth in IPL, now it is up to his Caribbean knights.
