It was around this time last year that Sachin Tendulkar’s surreal journey in cricket was coming to an end. “Sachin Mania” was at its peak. But in the excitement of things, there were some incredible errors.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) goofed-up Tendulkar’s name on a billboard put up near the electronic scorecard at the High Court end. The billboard with the portrait of Tendulkar mentioned, “Celebrating Sachine Tendulkar 199th Test match”.

Indian captain MS Dhoni, normally ice cool in his temperament, reacted: “First tell me who has misspelt Sachin’s name inside the stadium? This is a very big (mistake)! It’s there inside the stadium,” Dhoni asked CAB officials.

But worst followed when the electronic scoreboard at the Eden Gardens messed up Tendulkar’s wife’s gender! See image below:

The errors not only embarrassed the CAB but also the Tendulkars.
