Along with the great Sachin Tendulkar, West Indian batsman Brian Lara is considered to be the finest batsman in 1990s and 2000s. The elegant left-hander holds the record for the highest Test (400 not out) and First-Class (501 not out) scores. Having retired from international cricket in 2007, Lara continues to play in the Masters Cricket League (MCL) and is a popular cricket analyst.

On Tuesday, Lara was involved in a Q&A session with his fans on Twitter with #AskBrianLara hashtag. One of the fans asked him, who is the current Indian cricketer he likes most. Lara was quick to answer and tagged the cricketer’s Twitter account. Well, no surprises, it is Virat Kohli.

Kohli is also the favourite cricketer of legendary Viv Richards. Kohli is currently amongst the best batsmen in world cricket and recently starred in India’s win against Pakistan in a crucial ICC World T20 2016 match at Eden Gardens.
