Yuvraj and Zaheer show their support for Tendulkar’s Kerala Blasters
At one end of the world, Indian team fought hard and went down against the spirited Australian side, while at the other, a football match brought together ex team-mates, who have been a part of several triumphs, including the ICC World Cup 2011.
In the Indian Super League (ISL) first leg semi-final between Kerala Blasters and Chennaiyin FC at Kochi, Sachin Tendulkar, the co-owner of the Kerala side was joined by Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan. Both the cricketers, who have been left out of India’s World Cup 30 probables, were seen sporting the Kerala jersey and supporting Tendulkar’s side.
Their support did help the home side, as they comprehensively beat the dangerous side from Chennai, 4-0. The Chennai franchise is co-owned by Indian captain MS Dhoni, and now they have a tough task on hand in order to reach the final.
On Sunday, in the first leg of the second semi-final, Sourav Ganguly’s Atletico de Kolkata will against play Virat Kohli’s FC Goa.
