Japan and Greece are underdogs in their groups and both teams will be desperate for a win to get their hopes up for the round of 16 stage of FIFA World Cup 2014. Japan, in their first game were excellent and took the lead and then went on to lose the the game 3-1 and in what was an agonising defeat. Japan are a team who have reached the last 16 stage consistently in recent years. Their inspired playmaker Shinji Kagawa and his men are going to go for the kill against a Greece team who have been on the decline since EURO 2004.

Greece on the other hand lost convincingly in their tournament opener against Columbia and are running the risk of being the whipping boys of their group. The Columbians ran them ragged and Japan will be licking their lips to test their leaky defence. Their hope hinge largely on veteran strikers Samaras and Kastarounis.
