For the first time 24 teams are participating in Euro 2016 following a qualifying campaign earlier. France play their opening affair against Romania. You can watch the live telecast on Sony ESPN, Sony ESPN HD, Sony Six and Sony Six HD. Live streaming of the match is also available on SonyLiv.com. The match will start at 12.30 am Indian Standard Time (IST) on Saturday, June, 11. France have won 3 out their last 5 matches since November, 2015. France plays their second tie against Albania on June 15 at Marseille. Their last and most crucial match is against Switzerland on June 19 at Lille. France is currently coached by Deschamps, who guided them to 2000 title.

Deschamps would be happy with most of its players looking well oiled having played hard and tactically demanding season of football for their clubs around Europe. With the back line consisting of Evra, Koscienly,Sagna and Mangala they look more compact than the previous teams. France will be unfortunate to miss out on Raphael Varane and Jeremy Mathieu who missed the Euro bus owing to injury. Yet, expectations are still high that a team boasting the precocious young talents of the likes of Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Antoine Griezmann can repeat the feats of the French sides of 1998 and 1984 in winning the World Cup and Euros respectively on home soil, added AFP.
