FC Barcelona won their 24th La Liga (Spanish League) title as they beat Granada in an away game by 3-0, thanks to a Luis Suarez hat-trick of goals. Suarez was way too good for the Granada side as he took his tally for the season to 59 goals. Not only that but the Uruguayan international also became the first player in seven years other than Cristiano Ronaldo and his Barca teammate Lionel Messi to win the Pichichi award for La Liga as he finished with 40 goals in the League.

A brilliant team move at the end of the 21st minute of the match with Neymar and Jordi Alba combining, and the latter providing an easy tap-in assist to Suarez meant Barcelona were on their way to regain their trophy. In a must-win game to become the champions of Spain, Barcelona were up and running from there on.

In the 38th minute Suarez struck again as Javier Mascherano sent out a long ball to Dani Alves making a run on the right-wing and Suarez who was completely switched on guided the header into the back of the net to make it 2-0.

At the half-way mark Barca were in control of the proceedings as their rivals Real Madrid who were facing Deportivo La Coruna were winning by the same scoreline as well.

In the 86th minute of the match Barca put the final nail in the coffin as the trio of Messi, Neymar and Suarez combined to make it 3-0 and Granada were done and dusted. Suarez completed his hat-trick with another tap-in.

Celebrations continued into the night for Barcelona who will now play Sevilla in the finals of the Copa Del Ray on 23rd May.
