Mumbai Indians (MI) have been restricted to a score of 157 for eight  in 20 overs their game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 23 of the eight edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Wankhede, Mumbai. Mumbai started really well but Hyderabad came back well to not let Mumbai get away with the game.

The Mumbai openers were quick to get off the blocks as Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers were a bit wayward to start off. Providing them with many boundary balls early on. They not only got the boundaries going but also rotated the strike well. It is a good pitch to bat one and the Mumbai openers made the most of it providing them a good start. Dale Steyn was the first one to strike when Parthiv Patel hit one straight to deep square leg to get out for a run-a-ball 17. LIVE Updates: Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Unmukt Chand started with a gorgeous drive off Steyn but did not last long as Praveen Kumar had him caught at short mid-wicket, trying to pull one. Rohit Sharma joining Lendl Simmons, built a good stand to get Mumbai back on track. Rohit in particular hit some lovely shots in his innings. Both of them kept finding the fence at regular intervals. Simmons brought up his fifth IPL fifty when he smashed Steyn for a couple of fours in the 13th over of the innings. But Steyn roared the very next ball when he castled Simmons who tried to go for the third boundary in as many balls. He though had done his job by then though.

Rohit though threw his wicket away trying to big against Karn Sharma but found long off. He was out for a well made 24 but looked very good for a big score. Ambati Rayudu tried to get going but holed out to long on for a low score of seven. Harbhajan Singh came in and departed for a duck as the Hyderabad bowlers were bowling good lines and lengths. Pollard though looked good despite wickets falling at the other end. LIVE Scorecard: Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Pollard was bowled in the final over by Bhuvneshwar Kumar to hit the final nail in the coffin. Vinay Kumar was dismissed courtesy a super catch from Naman Ojha behind the wickets. Mitchell McClenaghan safely negotiated the hat-trick ball safely as Mumbai crawled to a score of 157 at the end of 20 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad started badly but came back well in the middle overs. They have a top heavy batting order and will hope they fire to chase down this total. Mumbai Indians will know they will have to bowl well to defend this total and get their second win of the tournament.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat first. Both teams made couple of changes, while Sunrisers Hyderabad brought in Trent Boult and Hanuma Vihari for Moises Henriques and Bipul Sharma; Jagadeesha Sucith and Vinay Kumar replaced Jaspreet Bumrah and Hardik Pandya for Mumbai Indians.

Brief scores:

Mumbai Indians 157 for 8 in 20 overs (Lendl Simmons 51, Kieron Pollard 33; Bhuvneshwar Kumar 3 for 26, Dale Steyn 2 for 34) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad.
