IPL 2019: MI vs CSK: After Suryakumar Yadav’s 59, Hardik Pandya powers Mumbai Indians to 170/5

An all-round tight bowling performance by Chennai Super Kings in Match 15 of the Indian Premier League 2019 had restricted Mumbai Indians to 125/5 in 18 overs, before Hardik Pandya (25 off 8 balls) and Kieron Pollard (17 off 7) took 45 runs off the final two overs to take Mumbai to 170/5 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Wednesday.

But the introduction of spin did the trick as Ravindra Jadeja got a faint edge off Rohit to send back the Mumbai skipper for 13 off 18 balls.

Yuvraj Singh was taken at long-off in the next over off Tahir by Ambati Rayudu for four runs. The South African put in a terrific first spell of 3-0-14-1. Krunal and Suryakumar then revived Mumbai with some smart batting. Krunal went on to make further 25 runs before falling to Mohit in the 17th over. Krunal made 42 off 32 balls with five fours and a six.
