Tripura started the day at 68/4, trailing Assam by 359, and it was only a matter of time before Assam bowled out Tripura. Mukhtar Hussain picked up five wickets in Tripura’s the second innings to go with his four in the first and was adjudged the Man of the Match.

For Tripura, the lower-middle order put up a brief resistance with Pratyush Singh scoring 22, SS Ghosh making 23 and Harmeet Singh adding 33 helping Tripura reach 216. In the first innings, they were shot out for 139 with Assam’s arup Das claiming a five-for.

Das got two wickets in the second innings and Ranjeet Mali added three to his tally.
