Goa capitalised on their day one score with Snehal Kauthankar registering a fine century, this third in first-class cricket, as the home side ended day two of an Elite C Round 2 match of the Ranji Trophy 2018-19 season at 422/7 on Tuesday.

Resuming their day at 216/2 at the Goa Cricket Association Academy in Porvorim, Sumiran Amonkar added four and was run out by Ahmad Omar Banday. However, the other batsman Amit Verma went on to score 71 before he was caught by Fazil Rashid off Umar Nazir.

With wickets falling at the other end, Kauthankar took up the onus of run-scoring and smashed 16 fours during his 193-ball knock. At stumps, Kauthankar was unbeaten on 106, while Lakshay Garg was batting on three. For Jammu and Kashmir, allrounder Irfan Pathan, Nazir, Aamir Aziz snapped two wickets each.
