Services are sitting with a comfortable 219-run lead in their second dig against Rajasthan, who were bowled out for 136 in reply to Sevices 228, at the end of day two in an Elite Group C Round 2 match of the Ranji Trophy 2018-19 season at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Tuesday.

Resuming the day at 45/1, Rajasthan lost captain Mahipal Lomror for 28 after he was trapped lbw off Sachidanand Pandey. From 68/2, Rajasthan slipped to 94/6 in a span of 12 overs. Robin Bist was the next to depart after adding just one to the tally. His younger brother Chetan Bist, who scored 159 in their previous match against Jammu and Kashmir, soon followed after he was caught behind by Nakul Verma off Pandey.

As many as seven Rajasthan batsmen registered single-digit scores with Chetan top scoring with 46. Pacer Sachidanand Pandey, who recorded his best bowling figures of 5/58, improving on his previous best of 5/61, was responsible for the rout. Diwesh Gurdev Pathania snapped three wickets and went for 47 runs.

In reply, Services were in a spot of bother at 14/2 with openers Aanshul Gupta (7) and wicketkeeper-batsman Nakul Verma (4) out to Aniket Choudhary and TM Ul-Haq respectively. Ravi Chauhan (30) and captain Rajat Paliwal (32) then tried to stem the flow of wickets, but were dismissed by the Rajasthan pace duo. At stumps, Services were on 127/4, with a lead of 219 runs.
