After scoring a valiant 89, coming to bat at No.8 position, on day one to lead Bihar to a respectable total of 288, Ashutosh Aman spun out Sikkim for just 81 on day two claiming 5/19 in his 12.4 overs, giving away just 19 runs at an economy of 1.50 in round four match of 2018-19 Ranji Trophy season at Moin ul haq stadium, Patna on Thursday.

Sikkim, who started their innings on day two were dented early losing two wickets zero on the board with Vivek Kumar and Vishal Das removing Sikkim openers – skipper Nilesh Lamivhaney  and wicketkeeper batsman Bibek Diyali – before the could open their accounts.

0/2 became 15/3 when Vivek added his second scalp in the form of Ashish Thapa for 15. But the biggest blow for Sikkim was dealt by Aman when he claimed first of his five wickets removing the dangerous and in-form Milind Kumar for just 13. Vishal added his second victim with another big scalp of Bipul Sharma for 1. Bijay Kumar Subba was the sixth wicket to fall for Sikkim after he played out 42 dots and departed for 0 to Aman as Sikkim slumped to 34/6. Aman then ransacked the tail with three more scalps. Jahan Uddin’s 16, Amos Rai’s 19 and Ishwar Chaudhary’s 13* helped Sikkim to 81.

However, Bihar opted not to enforce the follow on and decided to bat on again with openers Indrajit Kumar and Kumar Rajnish putting on 37 runs for the opening wicket. Milind though broke the partnership and proceeded to take two more wickets, to finish the day with three scalps.

MD Rahmatullah scored 66 off 116 before falling Chaudhary late in the day. At stumps Vihar reached 150/4, leading Sikkim by 357 runs
