27-year-old Australian star announces SHOCKING retirement from all format of cricket

27-year-old Will Pucovski has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket due to concussion issues. Pucovski had played Test cricket against India in 2021 at the Sydney Cricket Ground, and has stated that ‘it has been a really difficult year’ for him.

Pucovski was thought of to be the next sensation in Australian cricket. He averaged over 45 in first, but his concussions were something that dated back to more than a decade, when he played Australia rules football turned out to be his first and final hurdle in his cricket career.

“I wish I was coming in maybe under better circumstances,” Pucovski told SEN Radio.

“I’m not going to be playing cricket again. It’s been a really difficult year to put it as simply as possible,” he added.

“I’d need a few hours, I think, to take you through the whole journey…but the simple message is I won’t be playing cricket at any level again,” he concluded.

Will Pucovski ended his career with a first-class average of 45.19, which included with a highest score of 255 not out, along with the record for highest opening partnership in Australia’s domestic first-class competition i.e. the Sheffield Shield.
