Sri Lanka Cricket appoint Paul Farbrace as head coach

Paul Farbrace appointed Sri Lanka coach

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has appointed former English county cricketer, Paul Farbrace as the head coach of the Sri Lankan national team.

An official statement in SLC’s website wrote, “Sri Lanka Cricket is pleased to announce to the local and international media the appointment of Mr Paul Farbrace to the Head Coach position of the Sri Lankan National team. The commencement of his contract will be in effect from 1st January 2014 for a period of two years.”

SLC also tweeted about the development:

As mentioned in the statement, Farbrace will be appointed for a period of two years, from January 1, 2014. He will be in-charge of Sri Lanka during the their 2015 World Cup.
