Australian batsman Aaron Finch was rushed to a hospital after being hit by the ball on the chest while attempting to play a shot during a domestic game at Barnt Green near Birmingham, England on Monday. Finch was reported to be stable shortly after being checked into the hospital, though he did not participate further in the game.

According to ESPNCricinfo, Finch was playing for Yorkshire 2nd XI against their Worcestershire counterparts when he received the blow while attempting to play a pull shot off the bowling of Chris Russell. The Mumbai Indians batsman later underwent a series of tests and x-rays at the hospital, where nothing major was reported. Finch returned to Leeds on Monday, and expects his results within a day.
