Aaron Finch, Shaun Marsh accelerate and get to fifties against India in 2nd ODI against Australia at Brisbane

The batsmen started slowly but have accelerated the innings in exciting manner.

Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh started very edgily and the Indian bowlers were all over them early on but in recent overs they have opened up and the Indian bowlers are scratching their heads as to how to stop the bleeding of runs. Finch particularly looked very, very uncertain initially but he’s progressed his innings in very sedate fashion and after very slow start has put the hit the pedal to reach his fifty. They were presented with a couple of opportunities to strengthen their claim on the game with two catches both of which were dropped. Shaun was dropped at long on by Ishant Sharma and later had a reprieve at slips when Ajinkya Rahane dropped a very tough chance with the ball coming of a thick edge very fast towards him. Earlier India scored 308-8 runs in their stipulated 50 overs. The lead run-scorer for them once against was Rohit Sharma who scored 124 off 127 balls. His efforts were backed up by half centuries from Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane. Kohli got out for 59 runs while Rahane scored 89 runs of 80 balls. The Australian bowlers were not very impressive in the early overs but were highly effective in the death overs. James Faulkner bowled particularly well towards the end of the innings.
