After a record breaking performance at Johannesburg, the man of the moment AB de Villiers, used the social media platform; Twitter, to thank all his supporters. De Villiers scored an astonishing 149 off only 44 balls with nine fours and 16 sixes. He took five balls fewer than Anderson’s hundred for New Zealand against the West Indies in 2013-14 and became the fastest century scorer in One-Day International (ODI) cricket.
South Africa‘s ODI skipper de Villiers Tweeted, “Got back to a home cooked meal after a long day. Really happy with today’s win. It was fun to perform out there! Thanks for all the support.” The third ODI of the ongoing series against the visiting West Indies side will be played on January 21 in East London.
