De Villiers wins Players' Player of the Year

AB de Villiers has been named Player’s Player of the Year at the Cricket South Africa (CSA) Awards 2014 when he was named the Cricketer of the Year. Earlier in the evening, he was named as the Fans’ Player of the Year.This shows how much he is respected in the cricketing fraternity in South Africa as they hold him in high esteem.

This is another feather in de Villiers’ crown, who is arguably South Africa’s best batsman across formats.  De Villiers is one of the best batsman in the world and has dominated all the formats. Considering all his exploits and remarkable consistency, it is no surprise that he has been awarded this honour. He has been the beacon for South Africa for years and is someone who will lead them for a few years more to come.
