Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) young opening batter Abhishek Sharma has secured a great record on his name. The Hyderabad batter has completed 400 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. This is a great achievement for the youngster.
Abhishek Sharma has completed these 400 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad with a strike rate of more than 180. Abhishek has also become the first batsman in the history of IPL to complete 400 runs while playing at a strike rate of more than 180 in two consecutive seasons.
Abhishek Sharma secures history:
Abhishek Sharma has scored 439 runs in 13 matches that he played for SRH in the ongoing 2025 season. He has scored this many runs with a strike rate of 193.39. Abhishek’s performance in the previous season saw him scoring 484 runs with a strike rate of 204.21. If looking at the overall record, he is the second ever player to score 400 or more runs with a strike rate of 180 or more.
Another record to his name in IPL 2025:
Apart from this massive feat, Abhishek Sharma also has his name secured in a great batting record as he is at the second place for hitting the most sixes in the tournament since 2024. Nicholas Pooran is the player who is ahead of him with 76 sixes on his name. Abhishek has hit 70 sixes as of now.
Following Abhishek Sharma, SRH batter Heinrich Klaasen is in the list, with 62 sixes on his name since IPL 2024. Riyan Parag secured the next place with 60 sixes to his name since the last season.
As of now, Abhishek Sharma seems to be in great form, and it is evident from his consistent performances that after the IPL comes to an end, he is surely going to score a lot of runs while playing for the Indian national team.
