The third quarter-final of 2018 U-19 World Cup between Afghanistan and New Zealand at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. New Zealand entered the quarter-final with back to back wins against Kenya, West Indies and South Africa. Afghanistan, on the other hand, lost one but won against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. They lost to Ireland by 4 runs. New Zealand have been on top in all departments. Rachin Ravindra, Finn Allen and Jacob Bulla have been amongst the top run-getters for New Zealand.

However, they would have to be wary of Mujeeb Zadran and Naveen-ul-Haq who have plenty of international experience. Ravindra, however, would be the key for New Zealand who has also been handy with his spin. However, in the 2016 World Cup, Afghanistan had beaten New Zealand in Bangladesh. Beating New Zealand at home will be a task. Rain may play a spoilsport

The live telecast of the match will be on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports HD 1. The live streaming of the match will be on Hotstar.
