Afridi pulls out of West Indies tour: Reports

Pakistan World Cup captain Shahid Afridi has pulled out of the upcoming tour of West Indies. According to reports, Afridi has expressed his willingness to take a break from the game and made himself unavailable for selection and explained the same to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) top-brass.

Pakistan World Cup captain Shahid Afridi has pulled out of the upcoming tour of West Indies. According to reports, Afridi has expressed his willingness to take a break from the game and made himself unavailable for selection and explained the same to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) top-brass.

Pakistan’s tour of West Indies commences on April 18.

 

Afridi guided the men in green to the World Cup semifinals where they lost to arch-rivals India by 29 runs.

 

The 31-year-old has quit Test cricket in 2010 but had been expected to play in the one-dayers and Twenty20s in West Indies.

 

Pakistan will play one Twenty20, five one-dayers and two Tests in West Indies.
