Ajay Shirke has refused to return to the BCCI fold if N Srinivasan only steps aside rather than resigning as president, reports Times Now. Shirke is said to have made his displeasure clear during the Working Committee (WC) in Chennai.

Srinivasan had earlier set a demand that he intends to appoint his own treasurer and secretary before quitting and reports also said that he does not want Sanjay Jagdale and Shirke to return.
Shirke who was the BCCI treasurer had resigned from his post on Friday.

Asked if he had resigned, Shirke told, “Yes, that’s true.” When quizzed further, Shirke said, “I have spelt out my reasons. I have already spoken to the media at length. I do not want to comment any further.”

He was in the probe panel to investigate the Indian Premier League 2013 spot-fixing controversy and the betting racket that followed.

Jagdale said, “I have resigned from my post as the honorary secretary of the BCCI. I’m deeply hurt with the recent developments. Right now, its better I get out. Let some new faces come and handle the responsibility.”

He, however, refused to divulge the details of the resignation letter sent to Srinivasan.

“I can’t comment about the resignation letter I have written to the President. It’s proper to inform the President and I have done that.
