Ajinkya Rahane’s 106 at Birmingham created a new record for India in One-day International (ODI) cricket. He become the first Indian opener to score an ODI hundred against England in England. The previous best was Sachin Tendulkar‘s 99 at Bristol in 2007. Rahane’s opening partner, Shikhar Dhawan‘s career saving 97 not out in the same match (Birmingham) is third in the top five list. Parthiv Patel’s 95 in Chester-le-Street in the 2011 tour is in the fourth position in the top five list.
