Ajinkya Rahane scores his sixth century in India vs South Africa fourth Test, Day Four at Delhi. This is Rahane’s second century in the match as he scored 127 in the first innings. This is the first time Rahane has scored two centuries in a Test. His highest score of 147 came against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Rahane came in at a time when India had lost a few quick wickets. He put on 154 runs for the fifth wicket with his skipper Virat Kohli, who was dismissed for 88 off the bowling of Kyle Abbott. Rahane had put on 98 with Ravichandran Ashwin in the first innings to take India to a good score. Rahane had dug India out of a spot of bother in the first innings and has done so again in the second innings as well. He is currently batting with Wriddhiman Saha and will look to get some quick runs with him so that India can declare after they secure a lead of over 500, perhaps. South Africa have picked up just one wicket in the first session so far and hence India will be the happier of the two teams at the moment. India, courtesy of Rahane and a half-century by Ravichandran Ashwin scored 334 in their first innings. They secured a 213-run lead as they bowled South Africa out for just 121. South Africa will have to chase a world record score in their fourth innings and their batsmen need to step up for them. India lead the series 2-0.
