Alex Hales, the English cricketer, achieved a rare milestone on Friday. He hit six back to back sixes in six balls during a Natwest T2o match between Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire. Hales was representing the Nottinghamshire side.

It was the inaugural day of the England’s premier domestic T20 tournament and thanks to Hale’s blitz, it is off to a flying start. The match was being played in Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Batting first Warwickshire gave the host a target of 142. Hales opened the batting for Nottinghamshire and gave them a attacking start. But the real drama unfolded in the 12th over of the Notts’ innings.

Boyd Rankin was bowling to a well set Hales. The right-hander hit three consecutive sixes in the last three balls of that Rankin over. Samit Patel was batting with him on the other end. He took a single in the first ball of the 13th over. In the next three balls, Hales three more sixes. He remained not out at 86 as Nottinghamshire chased down the target in just 14.3 overs. In his innings of 86, Hales hit total eight sixes.
