Anuja Patil guided India Women to an easy win in the fourth T20 International of the five-match series against Sri Lanka Women, at Colombo Cricket Club Ground. The win also helped India clinch the series with a match in hand. Patil first took the first two Sri Lankan wickets and finished with 4-0-36-3. Then he raced to an unbeaten 42-ball 54 (seven fours, three sixes) to take India home with eight balls to spare.
Patil became the first Indian and sixth overall to score a fifty and take three wickets in a Women’s T20I. Here is the full list:
| 50 and 3 wickets in the same Women’s T20I | ||||||
| Score | Figures | Cricketer | Team | Against | Venue | Season |
| 52 | 3.1-0-16-3 | Lisa Sthalekar | Australia | New Zealand | Sydney (NSO) | 2011-12 |
| 62 | 4-0-23-3 | Stafanie Taylor | West Indies | Sri Lanka | Bridgetown | 2012 |
| 67 | 4-0-12-3 | Dane van Niekerk | South Africa | Pakistan | Sharjah | 2014-15 |

| 54* | 4-0-36-3 | Anuja Patil | India | Sri Lanka | Colombo (CCC) | 2017-18 |
As is evident from the table, Ellyse Perry is the only one to score a fifty and take four wickets in a Women’s T20I.
The 50-run-three-wicket feat has been done 55 times in Women’s ODIs, the most famous of which happened this June, when Amelia Kerr smashed a world record unbeaten 232 before taking 5 for 17 to dismantle Ireland Women at Dublin. However, of Indians, only Shikha Pandey (59 and 3 for 19 against South Africa Women at Bengaluru, 2014-15) and Deepti Sharma (51 not out and 3 for 20 against Ireland Women at Potchefstroom, 2017) have done this.
