Australian cricketer and Test skipper, Steven Smith made a clean sweep as he won all the three prestigious awards at the Allan Border Medals Award ceremony in Sydney on Tuesday. He won the ODI Cricketer of the year award, along with the Test Cricketer of the year award and finally, the Allan Border Medal. He also ended Michael Clarke‘s three-year run in the Test department.

Smith had a tremendous year in 2014, emerging as one of the leading run-scorers in both Tests and ODIs, as well as ending the year as Australia’s newest Test skipper after Clarke injured himself during the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2014-15. He was later named Man of the Series as well.
