Former South African pacer Allan Donald is likely to take over form Dennis Lillee as the new coach at the MRF Foundation as the Australian legend is set to bid adieu.

Donald confirmed to TOI that he has been approached, and he is considering the offer.

“What I can say is that I have met with someone from the MRF Pace Foundation. We are waiting for a final decision,” Donald said.

Donald admitted that he is awaiting clearance from Cricket South Africa (CSA).

“I have to talk to CSA about this because I’m employed by them. Our schedule is very busy so to try and find time to do it will be the key. We will need to sort a few things out.”

The MRF Pace Foundation officials, however, were unavailable for comment. But then, if everything falls in place, it could be the beginning of a new chapter!
