Former England cricketer Adam Hollioake, who made a comeback to Twenty20 cricket with county cricket side Essex three years after retiring, reckons that all-rounder Andrew Flintoff can thrive again. Hollioake said that he honestly thinks that it would be great for Flintoff, who is set to make a T20 comeback with County cricket side Lancashire since his retirement in 2009, if his heart is in it.

According to the Mirror, Hollioake, who is the only international cricketer to compete professionally as a Mixed Martial Artist, said that if Flintoff gives himself plenty of time to prepare, then it would be great. He added that England’s Ashes 2005 hero would be a bit rusty, but after a few games he will be fine.

Hollioake, who is now a professional boxer and mixed martial arts fighter, said that it is a big thing for Flintoff, as his reputation is on the line. But he also added the all-rounder will not want to turn out there and make a fool of himself.

Flintoff’s former England teammate and the first captain to lift the T20 Cup during his term at Surrey said that Flintoff is a brave man to make a comeback to cricket. He concluded by saying that if any cricketer can do it then the Flintoff can.
