Angelo Mathews’ All-Time XI: Tendulkar, Sangakkara are openers; while de Silva is the captain

Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews who also happens to be one of the finest all-rounder’s in contemporary cricket, has named his All Time XI. In a video posted by Lord’s Cricket Ground on their official YouTube channel, Mathews picked his best players and has done a good job. De Silva has been chose to lead the side while Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara will open the batting for Mathews’ side. At three comes West Indian legend Brian Lara who is widely reckoned as one of the finest batsmen to have played the game. The skipper de Silva will bat at four followed by Mahela Jayawardene at five. Mathews’ spin attack hails of iconic spinners Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan whereas the pace battery consists of Wasim Akram, Chaminda Vaas and Glenn McGrath. It’s a formidable attack and inspire immense confidence. His side has four Sri Lankan players.
