Arjun Tendulkar struck early for India Under-19s against Sri Lanka Under-19s at Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground, Colombo in the first Youth Test. This is the first match for a representative Indian side for Arjun, son of Sachin Tendulkar. Wicketkeeper-captain Anuj Rawat got Tendulkar to bowl the first over and had Akash Pande from the other end after Nipun Dananjaya opted to bat.
Tendulkar struck with the last ball of his second over (third over of the match), trapping Kamil Mishara â a First-Class cricketer, no less â leg-before with one that hit the inside of the pad. Mishara had gone off to a breezy start: his 11-ball 9 included 2 fours. Mishara had made his First-Class debut at 15, for Panadura Sports Club against Sri Lanka Ports Authority Cricket Club.

Mishara had added 20 in 3 overs with wicketkeeper Madushka Fernando. The wicket did not slow the pace at which Sri Lanka Under-19s are batting, with Dananjaya joining Fernando.
Later in the day, Vinod Kambli, a close friend of Sachin Tendulkar, composed an emotional tweet:
Tears of joy rolled down when I saw this, have seen him grow up and put in the hard work in his game. Could not be more happy for you, Arjun. This is just the beginning, I wish you tons and ton of success in the days to come. Cherish your first wicket and enjoy the moment. pic.twitter.com/vB3OmbaTWM

Sri Lanka Under-19s 34 for 1 (Kamil Mishara 9, Nishan Madushka 18*, Nipun Dananjaya 7*; Arjun Tendulkar 1 for 13) vs India Under-19s.
