250 up for England. Every run matters for England. Broad gets into the position of playing a paddle sweep early. Lyon looks to fire it but ends up bowling a full toss. Broad uses the pace and hits it to the fine leg fence.
FIFTY! 21st half-century in Test cricket for Jonny Bairstow. He has helped England to move past 200 after they were reduced to 138/6.
OUT! Third wicket for Pat Cummins as he removes Jofra Archer. Great catch by Khawaja running back from gully! Cummins bowls this one on the off side on a length, Archer however tries to flick it towards the leg side as he shuffles across the wicket. He gets the leading edge on it and the ball balloons over towards third man where Khawaja runs back and takes a very good diving catch. England 8 down for 230 runs.

Josh Hazlewood to Joe Denly. out, OUT! Caught behind! Hazlewood is the breakthrough provider once again. Lovely, lovely delivery. Hazlewood lands it on a length and around off, it shapes away late. Denly does not adjust to the movement as he defends inside the line. The ball kisses the outside edge and goes into the mitts of the keeper. A much-needed wicket for the visitors as this partnership was really going nicely. End of the 66-run stand though. Early wicket for Australia after the break. Also, replays show later on that Denly did not have a good stride forward, maybe he was worried about the short ball which he was quite uncomfortable against.

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of day two of the second Test of the 2019 Ashes between England and Australia at the Lord’s Cricket Ground, London on Thursday. The start to the second Ashes 2019 Test between England and Australia was off on a wrong footing as constant rain washed out the opening day at Lord’s. But with a slightly better weather forecast on Thursday, we should be able to get an entire day’s play.
Day 1 washed out
Jofra Archer received his England Test cap but was still to make his debut as rain saw the first day of Wednesday’s second Ashes 2019 match against Australia abandoned without a ball bowled at a soaking wet Lord’s.
Chris Jordan, a Sussex team-mate, presented Archer with the cap in England’s pre-match huddle ahead of a revised toss at 3:00pm local time (1400 GMT) — only for further rain to delay the start once again.
