A 62-year-old Pakistan fan Mohammad Bashir received a ticket for the India-Pakistan match, Asia Cup T20 2016  match from India skipper MS Dhoni. Bashir was delighted with the fact that Dhoni gave him tickets for the match. He said he did not ask Shahid Afridi or the Pakistan team to provide him with the ticket. “Dhoni had provided me the pass for Saturday’s match. I didn’t ask Afridi to oblige me. I never speak to him. Afridi may have several fans in Pakistan but unlike India, our team is not united,” he said. India won the match by five wickets after bowling Pakistan out for just 83 in the first innings. Bashir is a Chicago based Pakistani, who can be spotted everywhere Pakistan play cricket. He is also an owner of a restaurant. After Pakistan’s quarter-final exit at the hands of Australia in the ICC World Cup 2015, was backing India to go on and retain the World Cup, they had won at home in 2011. Bashir believes that Dhoni’s humility has won him many fans even in Pakistan. Dhoni had apparently arranged for a ticket for Bashir in the ICC World T20 2014, as reported by crictracker.com. In the Asia Cup match between the arch-rivals, he not just supported Pakistan, but also hoped that India would not lose. “Every year I ask my tailor to provide me a new dress for a cricket tour, this time my dress is half Pakistani and half Hindustani and the same will be worn during the match,” he added.
