Bangladesh women’s cricket team reached the final of the 17th Asian Games Cricket tournament by eliminating Sri Lanka women in the Semifinals of the women’s cricket event. Bangladesh won the match by 25 runs at the Yeonhui Cricket Ground at Incheon, South Korea on Thursday. They will now play against Pakistan in the final on Friday. Meanwhile Pakistan women thrashed China by nine wickets in the other semi-final on Thursday.

Bangladesh women batted first and made 95 for four in their allotted 20 overs. Lata Mondal’s 34 not out was the top score for them. In reply Sri Lanka were all out in a score of just 70 runs in 18.2 overs. Bangladesh pacer Panna Ghosh, took five for 10 in her four overs.

Bangladesh Women 95 for 4 in 20 overs (Lata Mondal 34 ; Hewa Gunaratne 1 for 10) beat Sri Lanka Women 70 all out in 18.2 overs (Shashikala Siriwardene 15 ; Panna Ghosh 5 for 10) by 25 runs.
