Australia register highest total in World Cups at home at ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

Australia registered 342 for nine in their 50 overs, which is the highest total for them in a World Cup match on home soil in their opening match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Australiawere helped by Aaron Finch’s 128-ball 135 and Glenn Maxwell’s quick-fire 66 to ensure that Australia get to a mammoth total. The previous best score was 265 for six against Zimbabwe at Hobart. England have never chased down this sort of score in One-Day Internationals (ODI).
Steven Finn got a hat-trick off the final over but that couldn’t restrict Australia from getting to this mammoth score. England picked up three quick wickets to dismiss David Warner, Shane Watson and Steven Finn, but Australia found a way to fight out of the early losses and skipper George Bailey return to form with his 15th half-century in ODIs helped their cause. England bowlers hard a tough time on the field and will hope that their batsmen fire and get them over the line.
