Brad Haddin and Mitchell Johnson have added 54 runs for the seventh wicket and helped Australia to reach a score of 186 for six after 67 overs on Day One of the first Ashes 2013-14 Test in Brisbane at the Gabba.

Australia lost their sixth wicket when the score read 132 in the 45th over. The duo have began cautiously, but have out the bad ball away to the boundary.

Haddin pulled James Anderson for a six over deep square-leg. Johnson was batting with more assurance with each over. Their stand has gone past the 50-run mark and Australia will be looking to ease past the 200-run mark.
