England picked up a wicket in the first over in the final of the tri-series against Australia. England got the wicket of the dangerous Aaron Finch as he edged James Anderson at first-slip. The wicket seems to have enough for the seamers and the England bowlers would be looking to exploit that to restrict Australia.
Anderson got the ball to move away and Finch edged it to first slip. He is getting a lot of movement and after the first over, Australia could only score the solitary run. David Warner and Steven Smith are in the middle and will face this challenge from the England bowlers as they try to inject life early on.
Earlier, England had won the toss and chose to bowl first. One would say it is after their performance against India in the previous game on the same surface where they had bowled India out for only 200. For this game, England retained their team. Australia were strengthened by the addition of Mitchell Johnson.
